Cash - To support the Annual Fund
Gifts of cash, checks and credit card are always welcome. You can make a donation to the Music School by using the printable gift form (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded for free here) or web pledge form. If you don’t wish to use either of the above forms, you may send a check made payable to "The Music School of Delaware" to:

Gifts of Stock
Gifts of securities may be made by electronic transfer or by assigning or issuing the paper certificates to The Music School of Delaware. Please call the Development Office at 302-762-1132, ext. 11, for more details.

Named Endowment Funds
Unrestricted gifts to the Music School endowment are needed and encouraged. A gift to the Music School endowment is of lasting value to the school and a memorial in perpetuity to the donor or friend or loved one. The Music School uses its annual income from endowments to support vital programs, and invest its endowment funds prudently so they will act as a permanent financial foundation for the school.

To establish a specifically named fund a minimum contribution of $10,000 is required which may be established through a series of smaller gift amounts over time. The donor may allow the Music School to use annual income freely, at its discretion, or may direct the Music School to apply it to a specific program or purpose.

Planned Gifts
A Planned Gift refers to a charitable donation strategy that is designed to help everyone involved—a charity, the donor and the donor’s heir. It is designed to minimize both federal and state income and inheritance taxes, and possibly provide regular income payments to the donor and/or their heirs.

Bequests, life insurance, trusts and annuities are examples of planned gifts. If you are interested in a planned gift, please phone the Development Office at 302-762-1132, ext. 11.

Tangible Property
Gifts of real estate, musical instruments, equipment, and other tangible property can be accepted for use. The donor must place a value on the property donated, The Music School cannot value property that has been or will be donated. The Music School retains the right to decline any donations of property.
