The Music School of Delaware Reschedules Family Concert in Milford

(WILMINGTON, DEL.) January 25, 2011 – The Music School of Delaware, Delaware’s only nationally accredited statewide community music school, will reschedule the Milford Branch Family Concert: A Musical Storybook to Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. The Family Concert was originally scheduled for Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 3:00 p.m.


A Musical Storybook tells the stories of “Peter and the Wolf” and “Ferdinand the Bull” by blending instruments with narration to create lively characters and capture the imagination of children and adults alike. The concert is recommended for children ages 4 and up.


Other upcoming concerts at the Music School’s Milford Branch, located at 10 South Walnut Street in downtown Milford, include the following:


MUSIC MASTERS: Milford Branch Faculty & Friends Sunday, February 27, 2011—3:00 p.m., Milford Branch Featuring the Copeland String Quartet – with faculty Eliezer Gutman, violin, and Mark Ward, cello – as well as other Milford faculty and special guests. Tickets: $10 adults, $5 seniors & students


MASTER CLASS: Lotus Cheng, piano Saturday, March 19, 2011—12:30 p.m., Milford Branch Tickets: Free and open to public observation!

Founded in 1924, The Music School of Delaware reaches thousands of people from Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Maryland through its instructional programs and 75 public performances each year. The Music School is the only nationally accredited program of its kind in Delaware and is the only statewide accredited community music school in the nation.
